Add an item by hand

No screenshot handy? You can add any item by typing it in instead. If you do have a screenshot, Scan your first item covers that faster path.

Open Add Item

Click + Add Item in the top bar on any page of the app. The Add Item modal opens with two columns: Scan Item on the left, and a form on the right.

Type the item name

In the Item Name field, start typing an item or nickname. After two characters, a dropdown lists up to eight matching catalog items.

If the catalog knows the item, choosing it from the dropdown fills in its name and category right away. Any affix that varies (a range, like the amount of dexterity a ring can roll) gets its own input row under a Variable Affixes label; fixed affixes are filled in for you, marked with a "Standard affixes are stored automatically" note.

If nothing matches, or you would rather start from scratch, choose the enter-manually option beneath the field to build the item by hand instead.

Build it by hand

Type a name for the item, then pick its Item Slot: Helmet, Body Armor, Gloves, Boots, Belt, Shield, Weapon, Ring, Amulet, Charm, Rune, or Jewel. Picking a slot reveals Quality (Magic, Rare, Crafted, Normal, or Superior), and picking a quality reveals the affix builder, where + Add Affix adds one row at a time up to a cap that depends on quality.

A few more fields can appear depending on the slot you picked: Ethereal, Sockets (0 to 6, only on Helmet, Body Armor, Shield, and Weapon), Quantity (for runes), Defense or Damage, and Charm Type (Small, Large, or Grand) for charms. Notes holds up to 500 characters of your own, for anything the fields don't cover.

Save it

Save Privately adds the item to your stash as is and opens its item page. Save & Set Price does the same, but keeps you on the form first to add an asking price. Either way, the item lands in your stash right after, private by default until you decide to share it.
